Habitat's News
Lake Chelan Valley Habitat for Humanity celebrated the dedication and grand opening of their new Thrift Store on Saturday, December 8th, 2007. Habitat’s new store will provide space for an extended assortment of merchandise including clothing, furniture and appliances.
Donors are asked to call Shirly Hunt at 682-7088 for further information and delivery instructions. If you’re looking for a great way to serve your community, give Shirly a call!

Tony Race, owner of the Chelan Red Apple Market plus Jack and Gail Courtney, owners of Manson’s Red Apple Market, will contribute 1 percent of collected grocery receipts to Lake Chelan Valley Habitat for Humanity. Habitat asks that people save their receipts and drop them off at the Habitat Thrift Store at 518 E. Woodin Ave. Habitat has collected over $2000.00 from Chelan’s Red Apple Market since March 2001 from this 1 percent program.
The Lake Chelan Habitat Store was established to help raise funds to build homes for families in need in the Chelan Valley. Your donations and shopping ensures that we continue to provide simple, decent, affordable housing. The Habitat store has new & used items including toys, small appliances, dishes, pictures, books, CDs, furniture and a men's section.
Our Habitat store operates on volunteer power. Without the help of our dedicated volunteers, we could not continue to provide this service to the community. Volunteer opportunities include: sales, pricing, sorting, display, decorating, cleaning and maintenance.
